My name Is Leo Kopp or for those who know my socials I’m Violet.
I am a small and humble photographer who has been taking pictures since I got my first camera back in 2010. I’m mostly self taught but have done film photography working with negatives, black and white and dlsr. I also dabble a little in film making and have taken a few classes as well.
What I’m about.
My main focus in photography is bringing a story to life. Like many of my peers, I grew up with fairy tales, fantasy books and movies. I’ve always had a vivid imagination and love to see the ideas in my head come to fruition. I like to take fantasy and cross it over with the Historical-like styles. I let dungeons and dragons, renfairs and larping (Live action roleplay) run my life, so that reflects greatly in my photography.
I also take pride in my photographing of nature. I grew up in a small hamlet surrounded by a mountainness range in the Catskills. When I photograph nature I want my pictures to make you feel as if you can smell the clear air and the dampness of the earth like you’re laying alongside me as I take these pictures. My pictures of nature reflect how the forest makes me feel and how we are so tiny is such a vast world.
Do I do commission work?
As of right now I’m working on refining art more than looking to do official work. Though I have many years of experience and have taken many classes of photography, I intend to only take on very small commission work. I only have a limited amount of equipment, mostly jerry rigging what I can together.
